Teachers use varied strategies to provide a comprehensive instructional program that focuses on basic, advanced, and critical thinking skills. As superintendents of public school districts across California, we share a deep respect for the educators and classified professionals who serve students every day. Many of us began our careers in classrooms or school operations, and we understand firsthand the dedication, expertise, and commitment required to support students and communities. Join us for the annual Early Learning and Kindergarten Festivals, held for families of incoming 2025-26 transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten students, beginning on January 7 through March 7, with an additional "Celebration of the Young Child" event on April 25.

Nearly 1,500 Long Beach students explored their futures at the Long Beach College & Career Expo, marking the event’s exciting return since the pandemic — and one of the city’s largest career events in more than five years.
